We are glad you found your way to our website! Immanuel Baptist Church is located on Bucks Schoolhouse Road off of Perry Hall Boulevard (across from the Duck Pond or Up on the Farm as many would say).
Our building is situated on approximately 10 acres of land which we will be using to support the "Y" of Central Maryland Summer Day Camp.
Our worship service follows our 9:30 Sunday School / Bible Study (Small Group Sessions) on Sunday mornings at 10:45.
On the First Sunday of every month, we host Sunday Morning Live at 9:30. Sunday Morning Live is a fun filled, script acting, praise singing, good time where Kids bring their Parents to learn about God.
Our regular Worship Service follows at 10:45.
We would be honored to have you as our guest at are Sunday morning service. We are committed to preaching and teaching the authoritative and inspired Word of God while assisting in preparing hearts for our true home.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
"We are a body of believers committed to worshipping and serving Jesus Christ."
What comes to mind when you hear the word treehouse? Many of us think of our childhood when we built one that became “our space.” They were places of adventure, dreaming and fun. It was where we were free to be ourselves and many times a safe place of refuge. Zaccheus was even in a tree when Jesus called him to a new life.
“The Treehouse” is our new Family/Children’s ministry strategy that will debut on Sunday, October 4th. We are taking this bold step of faith because we believe the Treehouse strategy will create a vital partnership with IBC and families as we together develop children who trust God no matter what, treat each other the way they want to be treated and make wise choices.
During the first hour, families will be together in a fast paced, fun-filled environment. Parents and children will sing, worship, laugh and play together as the Bible story and Life-App are introduced. The children will dig deeper into the Bible story and Life-App during small group Bible studies in the second hour.
We are currently assembling our Treehouse Team and there is a place for you if you want to see children come to know Christ as Savior and be developed into life-long healthy followers of Jesus. There are opportunities for adults and middle/high school students who like to…
Dear AWANA Parents/Guardians:
I wanted to take this time to let you know of some exciting changes happening at Immanuel Baptist Church. As you may know, Immanuel Baptist Church has offered the AWANA program for more than twenty years and it has been our privilege to work with your children. However, after much prayer and discussion, our Ministry Leadership Team believes that God is directing us to move in a different direction when it comes to our Sunday evening children’s ministry. Therefore, we will no longer be offering AWANA at Immanuel Baptist Church. Please understand that this decision was not made lightly. We strongly feel that God is directing us to minister to the entire family and not just children on Sunday evenings. We will be unveiling our new family ministry on Sunday, October 4, 2015, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. The first hour of the evening is a fun-filled, fast-paced environment for the entire family. That’s right, parents and children singing, laughing and learning together. During the second hour, the children will transition into small-group Bible study that will go in depth to what was introduced in the previous hour. Also, during that time we will be offering both large and small group experiences for the adults. These groups will help equip and challenge us as Christ followers, spouses and parents. Again, we are very excited how this new ministry strategy will strengthen the bond and partnership of the church and families. I encourage you and your family to check out our new ministry strategy. You won’t regret it.
We understand that there may be several children that would like to continue working through their AWANA material so that they can eventually earn their Timothy Award. We applaud their efforts and wanted to let you know that there is another local church that is offering the AWANA program through Grade 5. Their program runs on Tuesday evenings and will not conflict with our new ministry. You may contact Forge Road Bible Chapel directly to obtain more information. The phone number is 410-256-5820 and the website is forgeroadbiblechapel.org. It is our understanding that spots may still be available.
We hope you understand our need to make this change and truly hope to see you and your children on October 4th.
May you experience God’s peace and blessings,
Jeffrey C. Shultz, Pastor
